Childwatch

Child Watch is offered to Y members ONLY as a safe and convenient drop off area for your children to play and have fun while you work out or participate in Y programs. This FREE member service is available for any children who are part of your household membership plan. This service is available on a first come, first serve basis.

While participating in a Y program, adult members whose children are not members of the YMCA can use Child Watch for a fee of $5 per hour per child. If the Parent is NOT a YMCA member, their children may NOT use Child Watch.

Frequently Asked Questions

Childwatch welcomes children ages 6 weeks to 10 years old.

Childwatch can be used once a day, with a time limit of two hours.

Parents must remain in the Y facility for the duration of their child’s time in the Childwatch.  Childwatch does not fall under child daycare licensing regulation and is not licensed due to the limited number of hours a child is allowed to attend. and the requirement that parents remain in the building

We are not able to change your child’s diaper while they are in our care. We will find you within the facility so that you can come and change your child’s diaper in our lobby bathrooms. 

Yes, snacks and bottles are welcome.

If your child is having trouble adjusting to Childwatch and becomes inconsolable, a staff member will locate you within the facility. Childwatch is an inclusive environment and will make every attempt to reasonably accommodate any child based on whatever needs may be.
