COVID-19 Facility Update

For over 100 years, we have always been an organization that walked in the direction of a challenge. Today we find ourselves faced with a rapidly evolving response to combating the spread of COVID-19 in Maryland.

With the announcement of Phase I in the Maryland Strong Roadmap to Recovery, we have had numerous inquiries regarding when we will be able to reopen our facilities.  While Phase I allows for some programming to take place, it does not include the opening of the building. As we determine the scope to which we can serve you in the coming weeks, please understand that we are keeping our members’ and staff’s health and safety at the forefront. We are also currently making adjustments within our facility and to comply with CDC and Health Department guidelines so that we are ready to serve you once the facility is allowed to reopen.

In the near term, we are continuing to address the pressing need for care for the essential workers in our community. We are also working to support your health and well being goals, with online options for you and your family to stay fit during the shutdown. We have posted a virtual schedule on Facebook. In addition, there are on-demand fitness program for adults and kids to do at home. You and your family can exercise together and have some fitness fun! You can access it today at Y360 On-Demand. We also encourage you to visit the Les Mills at Home website for some of your favorite classes.

We are closely working with community leaders and will continue to communicate with you on when we will reopen the facility to serve everyone. Please remember that while we were mandated to close quickly, it will be necessary to reopen slowly and in phases.

In the meantime, we hope that you will join us in our efforts to serve those in our community who need us most. Thank you for your support as we work diligently to ensure the health and safety of our community.
